St Mary's is both a Cathedral and a parish Church.

As the Cathedral, it serves the whole of the Diocese of Middlesbrough, from the South bank of the river Tees to the North bank of the river Humber.

As a parish church, it serves Hemlington and Coulby Newham.

Your support helps ensure that it is a welcoming place where people can gather comfortably and safely, where there is space for quiet prayer and reflection and where liturgies can be celebrated with dignity.

CAFOD is the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development.

It supports projects all over the developing world.

CAFOD's current appeals include support for work in Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Libya and to ease suffering caused by the Israeli - Palestinian conflict and the war in Ukraine.
