What We Collect at The Cathedral


Children’s toys, books and crafts in new or nearly new condition.

These are needed for local families receiving Feast of Fun food parcels.

New or nearly new woolly hats, gloves, and socks are needed for seafarers.

These can be left at your Parish Church or at the Cathedral.


The homeless and destitute in Middlesbrough need warm coats, hats, gloves, scarves and flip-flops.

 These can be left at the Cathedral where they will be passed to parishioners working with those in need.

MAP Methodist Asylum Project - What We Need


MAP offers welcome, practical support and social opportunities to refugees and refugees seeking asylum in Middlesbrough. We support their work by donating food, clothes, and household goods and organizing walks and day trips with hot meals for groups of refugees locally.

Items can be dropped off at Avenue Church, 25 The Avenue, Middlesbrough, TS5 6PE on Wednesdays from 10am -1pm

Teesfurniture4everyone


We support our local community, offering a wide range of quality donated goods at affordable prices.

We collect unwanted household items and electrical goods free of charge, repair if needed, and sell them in our stores.

This will help the people who need it most in our community furnish their homes at an affordable price.

Community work placements and volunteers gain new skills and training, which helps them back into employment and reduces waste and landfill.

Teesside Hospice -Furniture Collection


It is possible to book a free collection of furniture, including sofas, tables, wardrobes, beds, small electrical items and much more.

The items must be in a saleable condition for our shops.

Promote the social and economic inclusion of refugees and those seeking asylum.

They need:

Adult and children’s bicycles in good working condition, helmets and bike locks
