WHAT IS MARRIAGE?

Very simply, the Sacrament of Marriage is where a man and a woman vow to a life long bond, uniting the love of which they have for each other with God who is present in the Tabernacle of every Catholic Church.

WE'VE JUST GOT ENGAGED! WHAT DO WE DO?

Congratulations! Before thinking of dates and planning the flowers or catering, it is important to arrange a meeting with a Priest, just to talk over some formalities required of the Catholic Church in order for a marriage to be valid. After it has been established that the couple are free to marry, we at the Cathedral will require both parties to attend two marriage preparation sessions in order to help the couple best receive the Sacrament of Marriage and how best to continue together in their journey towards eternity with the Lord firmly at their side.
