The Blessed Sacrament Chapel
The Blessed Sacrament Chapel has its own entrance and is attached to the main nave adjacent to the sanctuary but isolated by a glazed screen.
For special occasions, the Chapel can be incorporated into the body of the church when all the proceedings in the sanctuary can be seen and heard.
Normally, it is used for daily worship as well as a place of reservation for the Blessed Sacrament.
The Tabernacle, splendidly fashioned in brass with the Christian symbols of the lamb and the pelican depicted on its doors, is from the old Cathedral.
Opening from the Blessed Sacrament Chapel are two rooms for the administration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. They are so designed that the Sacrament may be administered traditionally or face-to-face.
